Belmont House, Unst

Official Opening 30th April 2011 by Sir Kenneth Calman

After nearly 20 years of effort Belmont House, in Unst, is now restored and the house open for guests. Around 70 people witnessed the official opening by the chairman of the National Trust for Scotland, Sir Kenneth Calman. The guests mostly comprised people most closely involved with the project to restore the house which has been described as “the most ambitious classical house in the Northern Isles”.
